The whole setting of the hotel, makes you feel very welcome and relaxed. I like the set out of the rooms and the view you see from the windows.

City Lodge an excellent, clean, inviting and a downright classic hotel situated at the right location. The staff is friendly, helpful and makes their guests feel welcome at their venue. The problem we had during our last visit at the property was resolved efficiently and professionally before we could check in.

Fullfilling breakfast. The rooms are very clean, beds are comfortable. My wife and I booked the Twin. Super-fast, Lightning fast unlimited WIFI. Overall stay was enjoyable. Relaxing. Staff very friendly and professional.

Great establishment, especially for the price and great for business travel. Excellent staff, clean rooms, large rooms (this was previously a a Garden Court hotel so the rooms are unusually large for a City Lodge), a lovely gym, close to the highway (I've chosen to stay here when I travel to the Vaal for easy access). Have been here twice, will visit again.

The location is convenient particularly the proximity to the airport, Eastgate shopping mall, a number of restaurants. The linen is always impeccably clean and the construction of the rooms provides a very peaceful environment.

Location amazing - very safe. You cannot tell you are in a big city. It is very tranquil and in a nice area. Our room exceeded our expectations. It had the feel of a hut/chalet whilst being very modern. It had a little kitchen, huge bed and lovely balcony that caught the sun the whole day. I have not been to a City Lodge hotel that had a balcony and a "hut" feel to it. The staff were very accommodating letting us do late checkout, calling museums to find out if they were open and printing out things for us. We will definitely return when in Joburg again.
